The only surviving fry from my first betta spawn is not doing very well. He is going on 14 weeks now. The whole spawn was weak but he's always been the biggest and strongest, therefore, my favorite.
Big Boy, (though I think I've settled on the name Sunkist for him.) has been floating at the bottom, and then the top of his tank for quite a few days now. He is floating on his side. He's also got an 'S' shape to his body. I don't know what to do!
My mom suggested fasting him for a week. I thought I'd come here to the more experienced people before I took her advice. He is still very much alive but not doing well. He can't swim much either.
I was worried about constipation as well. I tried to give him the pea treatment yesterday but he wouldn't take any food. I will look more into SBD. That came to my mind as well. I did his water change yesterday and I put him in a warmer area. I woke up this morning and someone in the house had wrapped a towel around his bowl. lol
I want to do eveything to make this little guy live. He is very special to me.

Nothing new. He's just floating at the top of the bowl, same as he was. How long should I fast him for?

Well, still no real updates... He's the same. Now, he won't take any food.

Here's a picture of my little boy before his last water change.
He will attempt to swim away from my finger if I put it in the water. Otherwise, he just floats on his side all day long. His fins are not clamped, they look pretty normal. I do not see any finrot or anything else. Water is not at 78. I've moved him to a warmer part of the house for now. Still hasn't taken any food. I usually wait a day or so before trying a pea again. Next trip out of town, I'll stop by the Petco. It's a good hour away from me.
