I have a 10 gallon tank with a build in filter and a small powerhead inside for better circulation. There's carbon and foam in the filter. I change the
carbon monthly and and the water weekly, add/minus one or two days. I feed them spirulina flakes once daily and they like it. I know i shouldn't, but I
have two neons and three glo lites in there with four goldfish and the temperataure is at 80F. I tried lowering the temperature, but then the goldfish started
to stay at the bottom and looked like they were cold.
I'm not so sure what's wrong with my goldfish, but it looks like there's air in it's stomach. It's eating with the other fishes so I'm not sure what's going on. My fish have been dying one by one for the past month and I have no clue as to what's going on with them. When the first few goldfish died, I noticed that behind their stomach and before their tail is a bump. It looked kind of squared, like somethign square-shaped is stuck in the fish and can't come out via their behind. I thought maybe that it's bacteria and put some Methylene Blue in the water after making pretty much a complete water change (I know I probably shouldn't have done it) and the fish doesn't seem to have problems. Since there is medicine in the tank I took out the carbon. That was a few days ago, sometime the end of last week, not to sure. I also did a third water change today and added Aqua Plus.
Now I have a lionhead that seems to have a belly filled with air. I'm not sure if i'm correct though. I held the goldfish in my hand to get a closer look and I notice it to be a little transparent and see pink inside the scales, which might be the inside of the fish itself. If that's true, I don't see anything inside of it. The scales on that area seems to be sticking out due to the air inside, I believe. What should I do now?
