hello everyone! i am a new ADF owner and i have a quick question regarding my ADF's "Post Axillary Subdermal Gland". my male froggy appears to have swollen glands. does anyone know if this gland enlarges when a
male is looking to mate or anything about this gland? i have tried to do some research but it seems not much is known about this gland... hmm. well thanks for
your time!

I think what you're seeing is normal development for a maturing ADF male.
Can you get a pic for us ? We love pictures from everyone's tanks

unfortunately i cant seem to get any good pictures in my tank but i will try to get a picture of him
have you noticed enlarged subdermal glands on any of
your male frogs pre/post mating? im not sure but i believe my male is mature since i caught him attempting to hug a female froggy i had.

It really depends on what you mean by "enlarged"
One of my ADFs had an issue with one of his man glands awhile back, and it got to be the size of a small pea. He had trouble using the arm on that side it was so big. It was HUGE like that for awhile, then eventually it shrunk back down to size. |
