This is so sad....
My mother of all the baby frogs I've raised is getting ready to leave this world.
She's about 4y/o. It's really sad. One of my first frogs.
She has lived a great life, but I really was hoping for another year at least.
I started to notice that she was getting really slow and blind.
Not as hungry as she used to be....and wasn't very observant.
She used to be able to see me from across the room, really.
Now it's hard to get her to come for feeding time.
I noticed tonight that she has bloat. Her lower jaw is swelled up,
and I just didn't notice how bloated her body had become.
It's easy not to notice because she's so small.
As well, and this is the real drag...she has a pointy lump on her side.
It's round and hard, it moves rigidly unlike the rest of her skin.
I hate to say it, but I think it might be a tumor or an abscess.
Probably a tumor, as that's what Piggy had as well.
I wonder if the tumors are related to our water, or the Prime, or the live worms I feed....
No way to know. I do think the fact that they both ate so much contributed to their early death.
I have read a bunch of studies about calorie intake vs longevity and the results are "less is more"
I'm torn whether or not to try a dose of M2, but I really think it's not something that M2 will cure.
I hate that I know they're getting ready to go.
I wish I just walked in and it was done.
It's the waiting that sucks so bad.....
