Hi there
Well after all the battles with what I tought was white spot turns out it was fungus just a little of it usually on their heads so have treated them with esha 2000 great stuff it worked but one of them has just got a little back so I can treat with the same stuff again to clear it.
I think she has it because of all the chasing and nipping activity in the tank recently as I think she is female and has released eggs.
So... before all that I got some new oranda and a ranchu to keep rocky and pob company.
They are amazing fish
I will take some photos I have chunk (who I now think is a female) she is huge about 7 " with a head a bit bigger than a golf ball black and gold
then I got a baby version who is about 3 " called mini me
and another black and red one who we call baby as she is a tad smaller and was so shy when we first got her she hid for a few days at the back, then I got her another small friend, a Ranchu (gold with black lips) and now they all come out the front togther.
Anyway the good news they have been breeding not sure which but have now worked out Pob is defo a male from the spots on cheeks and front fins
There were many eggs in the tank on all my artificial plants so I have seperated one of the plants and put them in a smaller breeding tank inside my big tank to see if they hatch into fry?
My question is are there any ways of knowing if they have been fertilized?
The eggs are mainly clear with a little white dot in them.
I hope I will be raising some baby goldies soon
Yipeeee
