I haven't been on for a while. Everything's been going smoothly for a change. I have a 12 gal tank, been cycled for over a year, 78 degrees,
planted, all water parameters are within limits.
Fish: 2 adult platies, 2 juvenile platies, 1 Otto, 2 Cory Cat's, 1 Ballon Molly and 1 platy that's about 2 months old.
today, I noticed the 2 month-old Platy is hiding at the bottom inside a plant. She's living, but hasn't moved all day or night. I don't see any other outward signs except she's not eating and may be wagging her tiny fins a little too fast.
Should I move her to a hospital tank? I have all kinds of medicines, but have never treated a fish too young. What should I use and what dosages? Are they different for baby fish - I guess she would still be considered a baby.
The only thing different I've done lately is add Flourish fertilizer tabs in the gravel substrate and started using the prescribed doses of Flourish Excel and Flourish Iron (I don't have a test kit for iron).
Any advice would be really appreciated!!!!!
