Hi all,
well today has been eventful in my betta-world....so much drama!
I had placed an order with my breeder before the cold snap hits us, and unfortunately our "priority" postal service isn't much of a priority and they missed the delivery date by an entire day. Only one betta survived out of three, and I was just beside myself when I opened the box this morning
I had the *brilliant* idea (note sarcasim in keystrokes) to have them delivered to my work, I brought my critter keepers, water conditioner etc in preparation.....so the sole survivor was on my desk all day, covered by a towel and he was doing really well....color came back after the first half hour of unpacking him (He's a halfmoon marble).
When I was ready to go home, I put him in a gift bag with handles, and was very careful that he didn't get tossed about too much etc....the entire drive home, I was careful not to make any sudden turns etc.....everything was going fine.
I got to the house, got out of the car and made sure that I grabbed the new betta last, so my arms are full....the bottom of the bag BREAKS!!!!! The Critter Keeper smashed on the pavement...its DARK and I can barely see anything....the little fella flopped back into the only piece of the little tank that had any water in it (about 3 tbs of water, seriously.) I grab him and make a run for the house....thank heavens I had set up the new tanks in preparation!
He's settled, ate a bloodworm shortly after the drama....but my goodness, its been hours and I'm still a bit shakey
Any thoughts on names for this tough fella? I'm thinking some kind of super hero name like Wolverine
