Had this post a few weeks ago or so: http://flippersnfins.yuku...ight-African-Dwarf-Frogs
Current Problem: Two frogs are never seen eating, one of them is skinny. I have
tried hand feeding them with tweezers, yet they don't take it like they have
before. I haven’t named them, but I can tell them apart so I'll give them
numbers. Frog 1 is large and well fed, yet not over fed. She/he has recently
shed her/his skin and is clean. The frogs are housed with a male betta fish but
1 is always swimming around and sometimes seen chasing the betta. 1 is the frog
that survived the last disaster in the link above. 2 was hand fed for a while,
and then ate like a freaking lot. He/she is still a bit skinny and while I have
tried to hand feed him/her, she/he refused. I figure he/she it hunting on its
own. As for the betta, he tries to torment 2, but 2 seems to be the "Derp,
whats touching me? Derrh" kind of frog, so betta ignores it. It spends
most of its time floating in some plant's leaves. It is a silk water safe
plant, but the frogs love it. 3 is scary skinny and spending majority of time
at the bottom, away from the silk plants and rock. The betta fish sometimes
nips at this frog and while I have tried hand feeding it with tweezers, 3 has
not eaten. I gave her/him some time and thought it was just a time. Now 3 is
sitting at the bottom of the tank. I left a fairly large amount of food around
her/his normal hanging out place.
I have 2 silk plants and 1 accent rock. Basically resulting in 2 unique hiding
places. I was wondering if that might affect the frog, if they get territorial
like some fish have set areas. Should I remove 3 and keep it in its own seprate
small tank for a while?
As for water tester. I looked at petco and couldn’t find it, then again I
really didn't know what I was looking for. Anyways, I'll try stopping at the
store tomorrow, I don't have school so YAY!! Someday I want to have some axolotls,
take one step at a time.
