Hello, I have just noticed a small puff of white fuzz on my frog's back side, I would say right above his tail bump. Of course I'm not an expert but I don't believe it to be CF. I did recently treat for CF in early February with the Lamisil method, but this time it seems different and not at severe. The frog is not behaving oddly, he's eating well, he hasn't shed recently but the last shed which was probably a week ago or so was very healthy.
Back when I suspected CF he was showing signs of stress, loss of appetite, and a tattered shed. But not this time. Water levels are good with the exception of the PH which seems low at a 6.0. I have one frog in a 3 gallon Critter Keeper, heated, I use AmQuel+ and do partial changes about twice a week. I do use a filter to help remove food remnants but lately I feel the tank has been a little dirty due to feeding so I wondering if that could be the cause of the fungus?
Again I really don't think its CF and I would like information regarding other types of common frog fungus and treatment. Should I wipe the fuzz puff off?
Thanks for any information.
