Hi and welcome from me too. I also understand that it feels bad to have a sick fish. Hopefully we can determine the source of the problem and alleviate it. In addition to Michele's questions about checking for velvet, location of raised scales, any new additions (including plants), other past deaths I have a few questions. Popeye and dropsy-like symptoms are often related to water issues so I would like to investigate further: * How often have you tested for ammonia, nitrites, pH, and nitrates in the past month? * Have you had any positive ammonia or nitrate results in the past month? * Any nitrate readings above 20 in the past month? * Any pH variations? * Is 7.4 the highest pH reading on your tester? * Do you alter your pH in any way? * When did you start adding the Seachem plant food? How often and how much do you add? * Any other fish exhibiting symptoms now? * What was the bacterial problem earlier, when did it occur, how was it treated, did any fish pass away? * How much Prime do you add? Any possibility you might have underdosed (especially if your water department treats with chloramines)? * Did you miss any waterchanges during the past month? * Does the temperature fluctuate in the tank ie: beside a window? * Can you list the ingredients in Ed's Almost Natural Food? Do they ever eat anything else? * Any new ornaments in the tank? That is all I can think of right now to check. t
