Hey Dani!

Congrats on your new 10g, and all your other supplies! That's awesome! Your ADF will appreciate the space. And your 5g would make a great quarantine tank if you decide to get another ADF or 2. If you purchased live plants, we recommend either quarantining them for at least 4 weeks or you can do a bleach dip (one part bleach to 20 parts water), rinse, and then let it soak in heavily dechlorinated water (20x the normal dose), and then rinse really well again before placing it in the tank. However, some sensitive/finer plants can't tolerate the bleach dip - if you could tell us what you got... we can advise accordingly.

Great on the water test kits! Ammonia and pH are important... but you'll also need the nitrite and nitrate testers as well. While dipsticks are pretty easy and convenient... they do tend to be not quite as accurate and they cost more in the long run. The test-tube test kits are more cost effective and accurate.... for future reference.

You can transfer the filter media from the 5g to the 10g so you don't have to put the new tank through a cycle.

Let us know if we can help further! I'm glad your remaining ADF is doing well! Keep close tabs on those water params. We want to see 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites and 10-20 (or less) nitrates... pH should just be stable... it doesn't matter if it's high or low - most fish & frogs adapt, as long as there's no fluctuations.
