I finally euthanized little Trooper this morning. Even though I had wrapped a nylon around the uptake filter, he was again stuck to it this morning because he had grown too weak to fight the even slightest current. For the past few weeks he sat still, almost lifeless, in a corner never moving anything but his little fins. Also, he was laying completely on his side. He may have been eating a nibble, but was growing ever weaker. And, although he was a juvenile Platy, he wasn't growing at all.

I couldn't take watching him this way anymore and felt I was now being selfish not to let him go.. I really feel sad because I tried so hard to make him better and couldn't do it.

Thanks everyone for your help along Trooper's Journey.

Swim in peace, little one!

Because we never formally fiured out if this was a birth defect, injury ot tb, should I nuke the HT? Bleach 1:19 and do you let it all soak or dip and rinse, rinse, rinse??
