Yep, those are the original 'bows and rummy-nose tetras! The tank's been up & running since May of 2001. I have 7 more rummy-nose tetras and 7 oto cats slated to go to the main tank once I find a few more 'bows to take their place in QT. Look at how old the wood looks. It is mopani but no longer recognizable as such. :\

I've got two 96 watt compact fluorescent (CF) bulbs on this 75-gal, so 2.6 watts per gallon. Lights are on for 12 hours each day. No added CO2.

Those wily Vals! They are SO LONG!!! They grow up one side of the tank (2' high) and travel across the top of the tank (4' in length) and then turn around and grow back across again! :eek They just need to be cut right after they have grown the 2' but I don't do them all at once. I always leave some streaming across the top because I want plenty of fast growers, so that I have little to no algae. The little plants underneath somehow seem to get enough light and do well. Their biggest enemy are the ramshorn snails who like to munch on them... but, I love the ramshorns and am willing to sacrifice a few munched leaves here and there in order to have them around. :)

Can you guys tell me what else I have in my tank?
