thank you for identifying that plant for me, I've just been calling it seaweed. Even though I will never rember that name.

It is one of my favorite plants in the tank so far. I just added it 2 days ago

I am planning on getting another one because I like it so much.

What I mean by substrate feeding plants is just that. They uptake most of their nutrients from the substrate and take very little out of the water column itself. The species you have in your tank are almost all in the category

My subtrate is a fine layer of big gravel, no fertilizer added, tank is to new to have much fish poo for plant feed. Should I add something?

I check the plants and all look well, no evidence of algea, browning, wilting or slime.

Lights are on 12 plus hours a day one 15 watt coralife actinic blue bulb and one 15 watt regular white aquarium bulb, both flourecent.

I appreciate you help.
