ok...
We aspirated her today, and took out .25cc
The fluid was yellow, like I see with every other aspiration post.
She fought us every step of the way.
She was kicking and vocalizing a whole bunch, like little croaky sounds.
Michele did the puncture, and I held her down.

This is a 2 person job for sure.

Getting thru the skin was the biggest hurdle.
The belly is so soft, and the needle pushes against the skin
into the belly until the puncture.
It helped to keep the skin really taut by stretching
the leg out, though it was hard to do with her kicking at us.

Sadly, we didn't even make a dent in her hugeness
and it looks very uncomfortable.

We'll see how she does.
When can we aspirate again, because we'll need to....
I bet we could have taken at least a whole CC out,
but I know that would be fatal to do a full CC at one time.
