Also, about the bettas. I read that ADFs are ok with them, but would the ADFs not be attracted to their flowing fins?
I have kept adfs and bettas and you will possibly have a couple problems and will need a back up plan if it doesn't work out. Here are potential problems...

You never know the betta's temperment, first he can be sweet and down the road get tired of the adf and become aggressive.

ADFs are slow eaters and I have had problems with the bettas eating too much and the frogs not enough, even when I use a turkey baster. The betta won't have any problem eating off the substrate whereas I have other fish that don't.

The adfs have poor eyesight and will grab onto anything they see moving. For example, today my bettas long flowing fins brushed up against my adf , usually she lets go after a secong, but today she got a free ride across the tank and the other day when it happened there was a small squirmish. None of these times resulted in any injury but as soon as I have money and time, the betta will be moved an empty 5g, although I hate to downsize him from his 10g.

If the frogs are still in the other tank, than its really not a QT. The QT has to be empty and with supplies ready to go in case of emergency to serve as a hospital tank. For QT it has to also be empty when you add new fish/frogs so if they are sick, it won't be transferred to your other aquacritters.

Just to clarify, are you looking for a mate for the tetra and want to QT the new fish in the adf tank OR do you want to add fish to your adf tank as well?

If you don't have room/money for a QT, you have some options. The Top Fin 2g or 5g Aquascene at PetSmart are not too pricey. Wal-Mart may also have cheap tanks. I've also bought fish pet carriers from PetCo and they are cheap and come in various sizes. Then again, I've resorted to small buckets I found at the dollar store, also useful for water changes.

If you need any help with this, you may want to post in FW so thers will be able to comment and you can provide links to your other FW thread and ER threads so others can get the background info.

I will get back to you about the meds, but definatelt Maracyn2, its a gram negative antbiotic. But you may want to consider Maracyn, a gram positive antibiotic, together they provide a full spectrum antibiotic. KanaPLex is better but its hard to find. I am not familiar with API fungus cure or Quick Cure so let others comment, I may suggest meds with the same ingredients. Many find Rid-Ich+ good to have around. I also have Maracide, MarOxy, API General Cure, Jungle Fungal Cure, and Bezoalkonium Chloride for treating the adfs for chytrid. All these can be purchased at PetSmart except the BC. Before buying all these, wait to see other's response. I also find its good to have a few extra filter sponges, airstones, and nets. They come in handy at time.Last, check out PetSmart online and print anything you want to buy with the price. Often store prices are more expensive and they will honor the online price. PetCo and Wal-Mart do not. S-
