Hard bloat to me usually means air bloat...soft bloat means "jelly like" fluid bloat.

ACFs are often prone to regular bloat, but it usually doesn't affect their appetite or general health - they just stay "chubby".
I would still lean toward diet or water quality being off before I suspected infection, if there's no other symptoms.
