If there were only a "few" bubbles, it shouldn't have presented a problem... but if literally everything was covered in those tiny bubbles... then yes, it's likely that the nitrogen supersaturation may have been causing some bloat issues.  There may not be a lot water surface in the bottles for the gas bubbles to release, perhaps???  I'm not sure... I always used a bucket when I did waterchanges... let it sit out overnight... add a bit of warm water right before the water change to match the tank temperature and stir, add the water conditioner, then add it to the tank... and never got any of those pesky bubbles.  So if you're still getting bubbles with letting the water sit out overnight... maybe try using a bucket instead of water bottles and see if that helps.

I am glad that Xia is doing better though!  So she's not having those floating moments late in the day anymore?
