Thanks for the advice.
So far the little guy hasn't been nipping fins (though he did have a tug of war with a guppy over a bloodworm, :-). I watch him closely and he seems to keep to himself unless someone bothers him. He seems to prefer hanging our around the drift wood and floating in plants to harassing his tank mates but that may be because I keep him well fed. And we have snails. Regardless, I'll live him where he is. He's happy.
