6-3-09 She is still alive!
Yesterday was the hardest by far. She ate only1 pellet if that, in the AM and nothing stayed down last night. I tried daphina, doesnt like it. There was a flashing incedent last night after she took a pellet (but later barffed it up) I tried to calm her by putting her feeding spoon in the water (that stoped her before) this time I think she might have glanced of it! UGH! There was a tiny bit of blood (or a bloddy scale) that fell off her at that point. She calmed down right away. Since the w/c yesterday she has mostly been on the oppiset side from her heater reasting on the thermometer . Do you think there is something causing her pain when she eats and thats why a lot of the flashing happens after eating, or just that she is more "awake" after eating?
I did the 25% change yesterday and added the meds. So today maybe 25 or 50%? She is in 2 gal tank with 50% tap, 50% spr water.
Water changes......
Fri 100%
Sat 25%
Sun 50%
Mon 100%
Tue 25%
The meds.....
Maracyn 2 ~ started 5-27 (7days total) 1st day double dose, next day single dose. Yesterday (6-2) double doese.
Maracyn ~ started 5-28 (6 days total) single does till yesterday then 1.5 dose.
Quick Cure ~ started 5-29 (5 days total) at half dose.
So this morning she gobbled her first pellet. But when I checked back in a few min I saw all or most of it barffed back up. : ( I waited about an hour then tried half of a tiny bloodworm. she gobbled it right up! Cant see it if it came back up or not. I was thinking of breaking up her meals into 3times a day and smaller, what do you think? What should I offer, pellets, bloodworms ? She pooped yesterday and again today.
My boyfriend and I both thought the "red stuff" on her looked less this AM...as if it was starting to clear up. Her mouth area is more white then I remember it. My boyfriend thought she was getting some of her color back. When I looked at her a little bit ago her back fin was partly open. The rest are always clmaped down tight. My boyfriend thought her top fin was gone. But its still there. The other thing I noticed today when looking at her with the magnifier was on her fins in two places I saw what could be a tenny tiny bit of torn fin? Or fungus? Jaz and Harley both a bout with fungus and it doesnt look it. I will check it later. And what should I start looking for as far as the QC treatment concerns?
I keep hearing her heater click and Im hoping thats not a malfunction. Its staying between 80-82 as best I can tell. Its been very hot here last few days so Im assuming its turing on and off a lot. They are stealth 25W with movable settings. ITs funny because you mentioned setting Chloes heater at 79-80 and their tanks actualy get up there with out the heaters (it was 82 in the house yesterday, but at night they drop to 76. Maybe too much of a change even tho its in warmer temps?
Educate me on the "never-seen-soap" . I thought if you rensed things real good they were ok. No? Oops!
Long post, hope all the details are helpful! How do you get paragraphs in your posts? Mine start out with them but end up as one parahraph.
Id like to thank you all for being so paitent with me and explaining things to me so
well.
