Dont know if anyone will be reading this again today but just in case here is another update. We had some drama. ugh! I looked at Jasmine again and that flashing she did this AM took its toll! She had what looks like bleeding under her skin on her good side now! And when I was cleaning up left over food from last night I sucked up 2 scales with it! UGH! I decided to remove the brackets from the heater since thats what she was hitting most. To keep her safe I gently got her in her changing bowl, let it float, removed the suction cups and brackets, got the heater in a stable postion, then released her. This took about 3 min tops. I go to rinse out her little bowl and look back and Jasmine was at the bottom of her tank! She hasnt been there for days! She looked dead. Of course I prayed then looked closer and could see her gills moving. Whew! But she was staying down there. I turned around to get something and looked back and she was at the top again by her heater. Whew! Hopefuly things will calm down now for a while. Im trying not to think about the brusing and missing scales . She is on antibiotic and the danger (heater clips) has been removed and she still has some energy which is good. So unless somoene here sugests otherwise Id like to to a 100% w/c later today and move her to a darker place away form Chloe. I have the extra tank so I can get it all set up with water, conditioner, meds (disloved & mixed) and heater (it will be easy to remove with her still in the tank now) and I can get it heating for about 15 min before I move her. so all I would have to do then is get her in her changing bowl and take her right over to the clean tank and float her for 10min or less. Then I can sterlize the counter top where Chloe is to protect her. I have Chloes new heater but I want to test it before I add it to her tank. The only 2 gal thing I have avalable now is a 2.5 gal empty distilled water bottle. Does anyone know if thats ok to put a heater in for a day or so to test it? Or if not what else is good? Just to make sure I understand, if I use Prime and can still use AquaNova right?
