I'm really concerned about stalling on treating Jasmine, Kaysea... we know how much she means to you and understand you need assurances... but with using ANY med... there is no 100% guarantee that they will not have a (negative) reaction to it. But it is worth the small gamble (b/c negative reactions are rare) vs. the disease is going to take her anyway.

Since you have Quick Cure... and you don't trust Maracide... I would use the Quick Cure at half the dose daily. Keep in mind that you bought Quick Cure - it is the same as RidIch+ only double the strength as was previously mentioned (thus, the reason why we recommend cutting the QC dose in half).

Almost all medication companies will print disclaimers on their packaging to cover themselves. We recommend Maracide or RidIch+ because we have had very positive experiences with both. We can't recommend the others b/c we either didn't have favourable experiences with them (Coppersafe for one) or have never used them.

Her pictures indicate almost classic velvet... I doubt ich... and as explained before... gill flukes are less likely b/c you have made no additions to her tank that would have come from another infected aquarium. But the longer you delay in treating... the less time you have to react if she doesn't improve on the antiparasitic med.

Kaysea... please do start the antiparasitic med (Quick Cure at half the dose or Maracide) ASAP... not trying to be an alarmist here... but the longer you wait... the less likely she will recover... she's getting worse without treatment so she's either going to die from the disease (likely) or from the med (very rare). You can add the antibiotics as well, but I'm really concerned about the delay in the antiparasitic meds... velvet can kill if left untreated - as much as any bacterial infection.
