I just wanted to post some pictures of my new little one. I recently lost a betta and told myself the next one will be healthy and active. Well I walked into a fish store today, start moving the cups. I see this pitiful very small blue guy and put him aside while I try to move all the cups which are stacked 2 cups high. All the other bettas are flaring at their neighbours and here is this puny little small blue guy just glaring at me through the cup. Walk around the store, pick up a few odds n ends, walk by again little blue tiny underfed, mangled fins, basically big head and no body, was eating his poop and still stairing at me. He won't flare like all his little friends but pays the most attention to what im doing. Sold.
He is now swimming around in the 10 gallon hospital tank while I monitor his poop. I think he may have internal parasites cuz he looks way too...small. Maybe he just hasn't been fed much. As soon as I got him home I crushed up some hikario bio gold pellets and he ate em all up. Hopefully he's healthy he seems quite active but is a bit..jumpy, which also leads me to the internal parasites. I'm gushing I'm so happy even if he's not in the best health he will soon be one of the luckiest veil tail betta's on the planet to have a 20 gallon all to himself.
