So sorry to hear this. Remember that you have given your fishies an amazing life. Even if it is shorter in some cases, they had the best chance at a long
life with you so you should be proud of that.

Awe... I'm sorry it is what was suspected... however, I guess there is a small bit of relief in knowing what you are dealing with. Now you can start to
recover and move forward instead of being in limbo.
I've put a pm out to a couple of our members who have had to deal with this... and am waiting to hear back, or they may get in touch with you directly. Please keep us posted, Kristine. We're keeping very good thoughts for you and your fish! ((hugs)) Michele |

THe biopsed spot is looking a little drier today. Been on the antibotics for few days. They kinda bother my stomach but it is tolerable, anything to get
better. I have been trying to forwarn all of my clients that have tanks, to make sure just in case, to clean them in gloves. Better safe than sorry.
Thanks for all the well thoughts. |

Please do keep us posted on both you and our fishies, Kristina! How are Marbles and Mr. Fish Fish doing? How many bettas do you have at the moment?

Actually I went ahead and put marbles down last week, as he was getting worse not better and I couldn't stand it anymore. Also Mr Fish Fish is really
struggling too. He is my first betta though and I be lost without him. He is so cool, very friendly. I think I could pet him, LOL.
Michele thanks for putting out some feelers for me. A girl emailed me that had this. ANybody that has had this please email me at wedohair@yahoo.com I would love more info on it. I have 7 more boys. So far right now they are acting ok. Hubby will have to do the cleaning this week, as my Dr. forbid me to come near them right now. We bought co birthing gloves to clean the tanks in. Cheap at a Tractor Supply Place. ABout 3 bucks for 10. Everyone needs to do this to be careful.... |

I agree, taking precautions is so important and reminders like this hit very close to home. I am so sorry you have had to go through this and our thoughts are
with you and your bettas.

I just wanted to post that I'm also sorry that you have to go through this and that I was thinking of you. I hope that everything clears up for you soon. I
just finished my antibiotic cycle for a sinus infection and I can't tell you how much yogurt has helped my stomach. I've been eating/drinking it like
it's going out of style! I hope your tummy feels better soon as well.
I'm sorry about your fish. This is a tough thing to have to deal with and I echo what Shelly said about this hitting close to home. It's something that many of us think about. Those "cow birthing gloves" are actually a really great thing to use. The ones we have for the horses go right up to the shoulder and they're made of a thin garbage bag/clear type plastic that doesn't have any powdering. It's a good suggestion for others. |

Things are about the same today. But thought I would give you an update. Thanks for all the kind words and posts. Everyone nees to really be careful. I never
in this world would have thought about any thing like this.
To the young lady that was dealing with this and emailed me, please email me back. I would like more info... Thanks. |

Hey Kristine,
Give the antibiotics some time... they are not known to show immediate relief. Your words about being careful are very wise. We just don't know what we are always dealing with. I'll have to look for those gloves too! I'm so sorry about Marbles. Swim free beautiful boy... I do understand how difficult this is for you... and you wanting to spare your fellas any unnecessary suffering. Keeping Mr. Fish Fish in my prayers too... Michele |

Mr. Fish Fish is still hanging around. Don't know how much longer though.
My hand is looking a little better. Hopefully the antibotics are helping my insides to, not my stomach though. After I take them I feel queasy.. |

Awe... I'm sorry the antibiotics are hard on you... but I'm glad there is some improvement noted. Have you mentioned the side effects to your
doctor?

Again things are looking better on the outside, but I am more concerned about whats on the inside. I lost Mr. Fish FIsh tonight. He was my first betta, and the
coolest one I had. Swim free little blue boy.

I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Fish Fish. R.I.P. lovely betta boy.
I have been thinking of you and sending good thoughts your way regarding the healing and antibiotics. It is a good lesson for all of use to learn about and maybe your posts here will have helped someone else avoid it. Especially with the idea about the birthing gloves. t |

just to add my two cents, or maybe it only amounts to a penny, but hey. here it is anyway.
-washing your hands thoroughly with an anti-bacterial soap for AT LEAST 20 seconds will help a person NOT catch fish TB. it's good practice anyway as 9 1/2 times out of 10, it's too late when someone realizes the tank is infected. -also, spritzing your hands, arms, any other body part that came into contact with the water ESPECIALLY if you have any open places on your skin will also keep you from getting it, as alcohol is the only thing I have heard of that actually kills the disease. maybe it is two cents of advice oh, and becoming oober careful about never ever ever ever sharing anything between tanks. that may be a "duh" statement, but it happens. |

Kristine, how are you and your remaining fish doing? Michele |

So far they are ok. I have 6 left. Husband cleaned them today in gloves, and he cut is hand on the marbles, so I told him to be VERY careful and MAKE sure he
kept the gloves on. No ifs ands or buts about it.
My hand is looking a little better, I just wonder about my insides. Would love a look around, haha |

Oh dear... are the marbles sharp?? If he can cut his hands on them... so can the fish, Kristine...
I'm glad that your remaining 6 are still doing well.

No normally but hubby was cleaning them, and cut his knuckle. He is dumb, yes without a glove, but then he rinsed it really well and then stopped until he
called me to see where some gloves were.
Things are looking better on the outside, inside????? I go back to the Dr. on the 30th. If anything changes before then, I will post it. |
