Yesterday I brought home two ADF's! They are so cute I have been reading the directions for the Lamisil baths, and did the first one today. This brought up a couple of questions. 1) Do you rinse them off after the bath and before they go into the QT? 2) I have two QT so I can switch them into a clean one after the bath...how long do you do the bleach soak?...and then how long do you do the dechlorinated water soak?? 3)I have no...

Hi! I have an african dwarf frog that I just recently noticed has white eyes. I researched this on Google and found someone talking about their blind adf having milky white eyes but I can't imagine my frog just went blind all of a sudden. Plus, it looks more like someone very perfectly painted tiny round circles on top of the eyes, instead of the whole eye actually being white. Is this blindness or what?

So in June I rescued an ADF from my sons school. She was being kept in a peace-lilli vase and had very minimal water changes. I knew she had been there for a few years and pawned of in the summers to families willing to "care" for her. I have a ACF so I was really worried about adopting her. I have her in a different room from the ACF and the ACF went back to school with me in August.

ADF WITH ONE FOOT

Hello friends...
About 6wks ago ,I bought a new adf without inspecting him properly at the store.
First his foot was withered,then it fell off at the ankle.
It appears to be a struggle for him to reach the surface,but I'll assume he's geting enough oxygen or he would have passed by now.
Other wise he appears to be living a "normal" life with my other ADF's.

Ok, I took the plunge (ha, ha!) and got three more ADF's. Being smart from the get-go this time and they are in QT in an approx 1.5 gal Kritter Keeper in preparation for their Lamisil baths. Hubby was the one that did the baths last time and pretty much remembers how to do it, but I printed out the directions to refer to. (god, I hate seeing them in a little container with no gravel or plants). We have a little hollow mountain thingy for them to hide in.

Hi, I'm setting up a new aquarium for my ADFs to replace the dinky little one they came in, and I had a few questions. The new aquarium will be a 6 gallon eclipse and will have either 3 or 4 frogs, but only 2 at first because I have 2 currently. They are currently in something like a quart, so even if I put 4 in the bigger one, they will have more than 10 times as much room per frog as they do now. My questions are:

I'v noticed some sort of worm I think, in my frog tank. I think I noticed them awhile ago,but I assumed that they were just some sort of little hairs. I have a 10 gallon with Eclipse 1 hood. I have 5 ADF and 2 male guppies. I have 5 or 6 small trimmings of Anubia Mini, some Java Moss & a Java Fern. Frogs & fish are doing well, not so sure about the Anubia. My goal with this tank is to create an environment where my adf can thrive. The plants, fish, etc are all secondary.

1) Is it safe to add Flourish fertilizer with ADF? I know my plants are not very demanding, but I would like to give the Anubia some sort of boost.

I am about to set up a 7 gal bow front for my 4 ADF's. We just got some really cool pieces of Grapewood where I work (not a fish store lol). Anyone have any experience with Grapewood in tanks? I have seen good and bad info on it online. The pieces we have at work look like they have been sandblasted (no bark). They aren't smooth and shiny so don't think there are any varnishes on it. Any thoughts?

I am going to set up a separate home for my ADF's. After reading the care sheet and reading discussions, I am a tiny bit confused on what I would need. I have 4 ADF's and am thinking a 5 gallon. Ok, So a few days ago I noticed some eggs that had been fertilized floating on the lids in my tank. So I removed them, set them up in a home with a heater and airstone. Last night I noticed only one tadpole staying on the edge of the tank near the surface wiggling his tail around and moving a bit. Flourite for plants with ADF?

I noticed in researching plants, that flourite is used in the substrate to help them grow better. I already have black gravel in the tank, would adding some black flourite under the gravel be harmful to the ADF's? I noticed it said in the care sheet to use gravel that is too large for them to eat accidentally.
